Butt-Weld Fitting
The equal butt-weld tee provides a true 90-degree branch from a run of pipe, with the branch and run sharing the same nominal size. It is the standard solution for splitting or merging process flows with minimal fabrication effort, keeping the whole branch within a single component.
Each tee is supplied with bevelled weld ends on the run and branch, ready for full-penetration butt welding. Fully traceable material certification is available with every order to support QA, inspection and UK project-compliance requirements.
Manufactured and pressure-tested in line with recognised UK and international pipe-fitting standards, in the most commonly specified carbon and stainless steel grades.

The equal-bore configuration ensures balanced flow and pressure distribution across all three outlets, reducing the risk of cavitation and unbalanced loading in manifolds and header systems. A single forged or machined tee also removes the need for multiple welds, cutting both fabrication time and potential leak paths.
Widely used in water distribution, process manifolds, compressed air and hydraulic systems across the UK where an even branch of the same diameter is required.
Every fitting is manufactured to BS EN 10253-2 and ASME B16.9 and supplied with full material traceability and EN 10204 Type 3.1 test certificates. Heat numbers are recorded throughout production to support inspection, QA and UK project-compliance requirements.
Stocked at our Sheffield, UK facility and delivered nationwide across England, Scotland and Wales. We offer fast dispatch from stock with tracked UK delivery to site, and next-day options for common sizes.
Available from 1/2" (DN15) to 24" (DN600) in schedule 10, 40 and 80, in both metric and imperial sizes to suit UK installations.
An equal tee has the same nominal bore on the run and branch. A reducing (unequal) tee has a smaller branch size, removing the need for a separate reducer.
