Double Branch / Double Outlet

Butt-Weld Fitting

Double Branch / Double Outlet Fitting

Double Branch / Double Outlet Fitting - Butt-Weld Pipe Fitting

Double branch and double outlet fittings consolidate multiple pipe connections into a single fabricated component. Rather than welding several individual tees or outlets onto a header, a double-branch tee or dual-outlet manifold fitting provides two branch connections from a common run, reducing total weld count, simplifying fabrication and producing a stronger, more compact assembly.

All double branch fittings are manufactured with factory-prepared weld-end bevels to BS EN 10253 or ASME B16.25, ready for full-penetration butt welding on site. Full material traceability is maintained from parent plate or pipe through to the finished fitting, with material test certificates and heat numbers provided with every delivery.

Standards & Materials

Double branch and double outlet fittings are manufactured to BS EN 10253-2 and ASME B16.9 in carbon steel ASTM A234 WPB and stainless steel grades 304/304L and 316/316L. Bespoke outlet configurations, branch angles and material grades are available to order for specialist applications.

Dimensions & Sizes

Double branch fittings are available from 1/2" (DN15) to 24" (DN600) in schedules 10, 40 and 80. The table below summarises the principal configuration types with their typical size ranges and outlet arrangements.

Double Branch Configuration Capability
Configuration Size Range Typical Outlets
Double-Branch Tee 1/2" (DN15) to 12" (DN300) Two equal 90° branches from a single run
Twin-Outlet Tee 1" (DN25) to 10" (DN250) Two reduced-diameter outlets at 90° to the run
Dual-Run Manifold 2" (DN50) to 24" (DN600) Two run outlets with branch entry points on a common header
Equal Double Outlet 1/2" (DN15) to 8" (DN200) Two identical branch outlets from a common header section
Custom Multi-Port 1" (DN25) to 24" (DN600) Client-specified branch angles, sizes and positions

Performance & Benefits

By consolidating multiple branch connections into a single fitting, double branch and double outlet components significantly reduce the total number of welds required on a spool piece. This lowers fabrication time, reduces the number of potential leak paths and produces a cleaner, more structurally sound assembly. Reduced weld count also means fewer NDT inspections, lowering overall quality-assurance costs on complex manifold projects.

Typical Applications

Widely specified across the UK for instrument manifolds, header spool pieces, distribution systems and process skids where multiple branches must be served from a single point. Commonly found in oil and gas metering stations, power plant auxiliary systems, chemical dosing manifolds and water treatment distribution headers.

Quality Assurance & Traceability

Every fitting is manufactured to BS EN 10253-2 and ASME B16.9 and supplied with full material traceability and EN 10204 Type 3.1 test certificates. Heat numbers are recorded throughout production to support inspection, QA and UK project-compliance requirements.
